The Emmaus Ministry strives to create Men of Faith whose hearts are burning to share the Word of God. Our program is designed to develop the attributes of the Disciples by dealing with male issues in relation to their growing love for Jesus. Based on the story in Luke’s Gospel (Lk 24: 13-35), Men’s Emmaus starts with a one-time experience of walking on the road to Emmaus with Jesus, learning that He is our best friend. During this walk, He explains His Word to us and gives us His great love in the Eucharist, encouraging all to serve His people.
The retreat experience is reinforced with monthly activities that draw all closer to each other and to Christ. The annual retreat is conducted by a team of lay men. The retreat dates are published in the bulletin in advance to facilitate registration.
